The fee is annual. There is no monthly option. Once the first delivery has shipped there is no refund.

Membership renews on the anniversary at the fee then current. The house tells you thirty days before.

Membership is yours. It can’t be shared, transferred or sold.

Standing is explained on the page you read when you joined. It can be lost for resale or for conduct.

The house keeps a record of you to serve you. It never shares it, sells it or uses it to sell you anything. You can see it whenever you like.

The house may decline or end a membership without saying why. If it does, the unserved part of the fee comes back to you.

A material change to these terms is told to members thirty days before it applies. A member who does not want it may leave and be refunded for what has not been served.

The house wants this site to be readable by anyone. If anything here is hard to read or hard to use, write and the house will fix it.

Before the first delivery. Tell the shop within fourteen days of joining and the fee comes back in full, however the house has been paid. Nothing is asked and no reason is needed.

After the first delivery has shipped. There is no refund of the year’s fee. The house has bought the coffee, roasted it and made the object in your name.

If something arrives wrong. Coffee that arrives damaged, stale, or not what the card says is replaced, and the house pays the courier both ways. Tell the shop within seven days of delivery. The house does not ask for the coffee back.

If something does not arrive. The house sends it again. If it can’t, the house refunds that delivery.

If the house ends your membership. The unserved part of the fee comes back to you, calculated by the deliveries not yet sent.

If you end it. Tell the shop before the renewal date and the membership simply does not renew. There is no notice period and no fee for leaving.

Keepsakes and objects bought in the shop. Returned within fourteen days, unused, and the price comes back. The Gift is not sold and is not returned.

The room. A seat cancelled more than forty-eight hours before the sitting is refunded in full; inside forty-eight hours it is held as a credit for another sitting. A seat missed without notice is not refunded — the coffee was poured.

How the money comes back. To the card that paid, within fourteen days of the house agreeing it.

The house delivers within the city of your membership, and nowhere else. Abu Dhabi members are delivered in Abu Dhabi.

Deliveries go out in the second week of each month, roasted within seven days and rested at least two days before they leave. The roast date is printed on every bag.

They are sent by courier, signed for, to the one address on your record. If nobody is there, the courier will try again, and then hold it for collection.

You can change your address at any time on your page, to another address in your city. You can pause up to two months a year; a paused month is delivered with the month you return.

There is no delivery charge. It is inside the fee.

The house does not ship abroad, does not ship to a forwarding address, and does not leave coffee unattended.

The house keeps one record of you, and keeps it to serve you.

What it holds. Your name as you wrote it, one way to reach you, one address in your city, the language you read, what you chose — the size, the axis, the taste — the coffees you have met and when, the gifts you have received, and what you have paid. Nothing else.

What it never holds. Your card number — the payment processor holds that, and the house holds only a token to renew your membership. Anything about your life the house did not need to serve you. Anything it bought from anyone.

What it never does. The house never sells your record, never shares it, never rents it, never exports it, and never uses it to sell you anything. It runs no advertising and has nothing to attribute, so it has nothing to track. There are no third-party pixels on this site and no cookies beyond the one that keeps you signed in.

Who sees it. The house. Nobody outside it. Its hosting and payment providers process what they must to run the site and take the fee, and may do nothing else with it.

What you can do. Ask to see your record and receive all of it within seven days. Correct anything wrong. Ask the house to close it when you leave — your standing history stays as a number under your membership number, with your name removed.

Where it is kept. In the United Arab Emirates, for members of the house in Abu Dhabi. Each city’s record is held in its own region.

How long. For as long as you are a member, and for the period the law requires afterwards for the house’s accounts.

This site sets one, to keep you signed in to your page. It expires when you sign out or after thirty days. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking of any kind, and nothing here follows you to another site. That is why there is no banner asking your permission.

The fee is charged once a year in United Arab Emirates dirhams, and includes VAT at the rate then current. The house accepts Visa and Mastercard. Your card details are held by the payment processor, never by the house. An invoice is issued for every payment and is on your page.
